The Italian made his debut this Saturday on the clay of the Spanish capital, striking powerfully, with the momentum that has characterized his entire 2024 season, being the driving force behind every shot. On a rainy day when they had to compete indoors at the Caja Mágica, their talent stood out above all else.
The PIF ATP ranking number 2 decided the match without secrets at the Manolo Santana Stadium, knocking off his compatriot Lorenzo Sonego (6-0, 6-3) in one of the most stunning openings of the tournament. Sinner has immediately adapted to the inner conditions of Center Court, where he aims to continue his path to the top of the dressing room. In just 70 minutes of play, he managed to open up a lot of distance with his opponent, whom he canceled out without missing a single break point.
