Kate Beckinsale is one of the most talked-about women in the world, and from her critically acclaimed roles to the time she was once mistaken for Kate Middleton, the 50-year-old actress has consistently made headlines.
The Hollywood actress has kept a relatively low profile this year, especially in the last few months, and was last seen in public in February at the 2024 Netflix SAG Celebration.
Although the actress has not been seen in public, she keeps in touch with her fans and friends through social media.
However, it raised concerns among her followers: Beckinsale’s posts from March 11 to April 1 were photographed from a hospital bed, suggesting the actress may have been in the hospital for almost a month.
In the original post, Beckinsale uploaded a series of photos from her hospital bed in honor of Mother’s Day on March 11, thanking her mother for her love and support.
“Thank you to those who love us and support us when it’s shit and try to make sure there are some things that aren’t,” Beckinsale wrote in her post. “And for looking after our dogs when we can’t, and making us remember nice things when we can’t. And come when we are sick and sit with us. And send balloons, and check, and pull us out of wells. with love.”
This caused concern among Beckinsale’s fans, with followers in the comments section wishing her “strength” and a “speedy recovery.”
Three weeks later, the actress took to social media to post an Easter-themed Instagram with a photo of herself wearing Easter bunny socks taken in front of her hospital bed.
“I’m so sorry you’re still in the hospital Kate,” one follower commented. “I really hope everything is okay. I know you went through this last year. Sending love and positivity.”
“Still there. Sending love and light,” another wrote, while one commented, “Sending all the healing energy and love in my own way.”
Concern online about the actress grew this week after she deleted all photos documenting her hospital stay from her Instagram profile. An inexplicable move that confused her followers.
Beckinsale did not confirm the reason for her stay in the hospital, but told followers that it was not related to a ruptured ovarian cyst, as previously speculated in the comments section of her Instagram.
We send Kate Beckinsale our thoughts as she recovers.
