Randy Arozarena and the Tampa Bay Rays managed to avoid going to arbitration by agreeing on his salary for the 2023 Season of Major League Baseball (MLB). Here’s how much the gardener will receive for his services this year. Arozarena was an important piece of the ‘Stripes’ in the 2020 World Series against the Dodgers.
The Tampa Bay Rays announced through their social networks that they managed to agree on Randy Arozarena’s salary for the 2023 Major League Baseball campaign and thus avoided going to arbitration.
According to the report, the gardener will receive an economic amount of $4.15 million dollars for his services this year; which is a sizeable increase from the $716,600 he earned in 2022.
The Cuban-Mexican saw action in 153 games of the 2022 Major League Season with the Tampa Bay Rays. In them he managed to get a batting average of .263, as well as 20 home runs and 89 RBIs.
Randy Arozarena is included in the 2023 World Baseball Classic (WBC) pre-roster. However, he would not go with Cuba but with Mexico as he has this nationality by naturalization.
