Gaza’s Hamas-run health ministry says the only dialysis center in Rafah has been forced to suspend operations due to “bombing and the threat of Israeli occupation.” He said their closure has resulted in loss of human life and that the injured are unable to receive immediate medical treatment in neighboring countries due to Israel’s control over the crossings.

The Ministry condemned the closure of border crossings and highlighted the serious consequences of this closure, particularly for the movement of the wounded and sick, as well as the entry of critical aid and medical supplies.

The ministry highlighted the dire situation of the injured and sick population, who are facing slow death without access to treatment and supplies due to their inability to travel.

Contradictory reports continue to cast doubt on the current situation at the Kerem Shalom crossing in Gaza, Gaza Crossing Authority spokesman Hisham Adwan said on Thursday as the crossing remained closed for the fourth consecutive day.

However, Israel’s Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT) said in a post available to facilitate aid on Thursday that all trucks arriving at the crossing are immediately inspected and transferred to Gaza.

A border crossing vital for aid deliveries to Gaza was closed on Sunday after four Israeli soldiers were killed in a rocket attack nearby.

Additionally, the ministry also revealed lists sent to neighboring countries, detailing the urgent medical needs of patients, including those requiring treatment for tumors, liver transplants and kidney transplants, which are now imposed due to the Israeli occupation. Are stranded due to lockdown.

In an impassioned appeal, the ministry called for immediate international pressure and action to save the lives of the sick and injured. He urged for opening of crossings and facilitating entry of essential medical and relief trucks to hospitals.
