“Oppenheimer” wins 3, including best ensemble – GoldDerby

After winning five Golden Globes, seven BAFTA Awards and eight Critics’ Choice Awards, Oppenheimer will continue its winning streak at the upcoming 30th Screen Actors Guild Awards, which air on Saturday, February 24th on Netflix. Our official odds predict Christopher Nolan the most awarded film of the night, winning three awards out of four nominations. These victories will be for Best Ensemble, Best Actor for Cillian Murphy and best supporting actor Robert Downey Jr. See the full list of winners, organized by film, below..
Oppenheimer’s three wins mean the film is just one shy of the all-time record set last year by Everything Everywhere At Once, which won four awards; However, those three wins tie it with only four other films in history to have won three awards: American Beauty, Chicago, The Help and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri.
“Barbie” heads into the awards ceremony with the same number of names as “Oppenheimer,” but our forecasters think she’ll go home empty-handed. Killers of the Flower Moon follows with three nominations and will take home one prize for best actress. Lily Gladstone. This category is one of the most intense races of the year because Emma Stone (“Poor Little Things”) looks upset after her wins at the Globes, Critics Choice and BAFTA; Another hotly contested race is best actor between Murphy and Paul Giamatti (“Remains”). Other winners we are expecting: Da’Vine Joy Randolph (“The Leftovers”) for Best Supporting Actress and “John Wick: Chapter 4” for Best Stunt Ensemble.
