Mauricio Pochettino left his post as national team coach Chelsea by mutual agreement after 11 months in charge despite qualifying for continental competitions next season, the club confirmed.

The 51-year-old, who joined Chelsea on a two-year deal last summer, finished sixth in the Premier League and qualified for the Europa Conference League, UEFA’s third division continental competition.

Chelsea spent around £380 million ($478,260,000) on 10 players in the last summer transfer window, but lacked consistency for much of the season.
