A$AP Rocky revealed that he loves being a father. The 34-year-old rapper welcomed a son with pop star Rihanna 34, in May last year and has now admitted that fatherhood has given him a “whole new perspective” on his creative adventures.
‘I can’t even explain it, man. You come home to heaven every day. I am very grateful. God is good, man,’ said the musician, Rihanna’s boyfriend who caused a sensation at the Golden Globes last week, in an interview on Apple Music 1 with Zane Lowe.

You see a father, you see me… Now I am a complete father‘ he continued. “Being outside and working and being creative creates more energy for you to think and soak things up like a sponge now that I’m a parent, because I have a completely different perspective,” Rihanna’s partner A$AP Rocky added.

“But it honestly helps you get home to your family and your baby,” Rocky continued. The couple have yet to publicly reveal their son’s name, but Rihanna shared an adorable first video of the little one on her TikTok.A$AP Rocky also expressed how excited he is for his partner to make their musical comeback and return to the stage at the Super Bowl halftime show in February.
The presentation comes ahead of the release of her ninth studio album after spending the last seven years focusing on her Fenty Beauty brands. Rihanna hasn’t released a studio album since 2016’s hit album Her Anti Her, which also garnered some of the best reviews of her career.
He admitted he’s “super excited” to see the Umbrella hitmaker back on stage, describing her return as “unbelievable.” ‘I’m super excited. This is so big. This is incredible. Rocky has been without a new album for almost as long as his love, his last LP being 2018’s Testing. However, he’s now working on a new release as well, and on Wednesday he unveiled his latest single, Same Problems. Both the rapper and the Barbadian-born beauty seem to feel the same way about her bundle of joy, after a source recently shared with People that motherhood suits her well.
‘Rihanna loves being a mother. She is obsessed with her baby,” the source shared. The source also said that Rocky is “very involved and a great dad.” In early 2020, rumors began to circulate that the pair were dating, although they had collaborated several times in the years prior.
Rocky previously opened for the US leg of Rihanna’s Diamonds World Tour in 2013. Rihanna also starred in her Fashion Killa music video in the same year. By November 2020, a source revealed to People that the old friends had officially become an item. In an interview with GQ in 2021, Rocky opened up about being a father one day after calling Rihanna “the love of [su] life” and “the one”.
