rumors and expectations regarding Apple’s next flagship

A few months after the launch of the latest 2023 model, the first rumors about the long-awaited iPhone 16 are already leaking out.

Join us as we explore possible release dates, Apple’s expectations, likely pricing, and innovations we might see in Apple’s next flagship phone.

When will iPhone 16 be released?

News about the iPhone 16 is expected at an event, possibly scheduled for September 2024, during Apple’s annual presentation. Possible dates for this event could be September 3 or September 10, typical days for the company’s annual launches. However, we cannot rule out September 4 or 11 as options.

Will Apple continue to surprise us?

The last WWDC 2023 main event in June impressed us, celebrating the App Store’s 15th anniversary with exciting new features. The iPhone 15 launch in September was also notable for its Dynamic Island and new roadside assistance. All eyes are now on the upcoming iPhone 16, which promises significant innovations in both design and hardware.

In terms of RAM, leaks suggest that all models will have 8GB, which is a benefit for the Standard and Plus versions, but not for the Pro models. Additionally, there are rumors that the Pro models may support Wi-Fi 7 and have the new 5G modem, which will mean faster speeds than standard iPhone 16 models.

How much will the iPhone 16 cost?

As for prices, they may remain the same as the iPhone 15, although some analysts suggest that the iPhone 16 may become more affordable due to changes in the chip manufacturing process. However, if production costs continue to rise, Apple may be forced to adjust prices to protect its profits. The current colors (yellow, pink and black) will likely be available for this series.

What does iPhone 16 have in store for us?

There is already a certain confidence. As for the screen size, the diagonals are expected to increase: up to 6.3 inches for the Pro version and 6.9 inches for Ultra and Plus, while the standard version should remain at 6.1 inches. In addition to size, the iPhone 16 lineup may have brighter displays. There are rumors that Apple is considering using more energy-efficient technologies to improve battery life.

With the arrival of a custom Action button on the iPhone 15 Pro, Apple may be adding a new capacitive button called Capture. This button, located just below the power button on the right side, will focus on photography and multimedia content creation, especially 3D content for virtual reality.

As for the camera, even the standard iPhone 16 Pro is expected to retain the tetraprism lenses of the previous model and, thanks to a slightly larger body, will allow an increase in diagonal to 6.3 inches, as mentioned above.

iPhone 16 Pro or Max?

The traditional division between the standard and Pro models may change in 2024 with the possible introduction of an Ultra variant. The Pro Max is expected to evolve into an Ultra, emphasizing its position as a flagship rather than just an upgraded version of the regular Pro. The supposed A17 chip, which will become the A18, will be exclusive to the Si models, and there is talk of a “super telephoto lens” for the Pro Max along with a 48MP ultra-wide camera. The most significant camera upgrades will likely be reserved for the Pro, Pro Max, and/or Ultra models, which will be able to use printed glass for telephoto lenses, allowing for more powerful zoom without sacrificing the thin and light design.

As we await the September 2024 launch of the iPhone 16, expectations are high, with rumors suggesting impressive innovations in both design and hardware for Apple’s next flagship.
