Leo Messi in the future reimagined by Alper Yesiltas
Artificial intelligence applications do not cease to amaze us on a daily basis. Technology is advancing by leaps and bounds and in recent months algorithm-generated images with an extreme level of detail have spread. And one of the most recognized artists right now is the Turkish photographer and lawyer Alper Yesiltas, that uses artificial intelligence to reimagining celebrities as old people.
Months ago, Yesiltas surprised with a series called ‘As if nothing had happened’ in which he imagined how some celebrities who left before their time like John Lennon, Kurt Cobain, Michael Jackson, Freddie Mercury or Lady Di would be today. The artist responded with his work to the question: “How would people look photorealistically if nothing had happened to them?”
Now he has created a series of portraits for a project titled ‘Young Age(d)’in which he has used artificial intelligence photo enhancement software and editing programs to create the images in which he imagines what various celebrities of today will look like in a few years.
Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo
Among the celebrities who have undergone the Yesiltas treatment are the two most famous soccer players in the world. Messiwho has just won the World Cup with Argentina, and Cristiano Ronaldo, become the highest paid footballer after signing for Al Nassar in Saudi Arabia. Both are reimagined elegant and smiling in their maturity.

Harry Styles
The singer Harry Styles, one of the most popular today, has also gone through the aging process of the artist. The idol of the millennial generation, who rose to fame back in 2010, thanks to X Factor and One Direction, will maintain his characteristic mischievous gesture when he already combs his gray hair.

The young Californian Billie Eilish, one of the youngest female superstars, changes her characteristic colored hair for gray, while Justin Bieber still retains something of the childish face with which we met him in his senior version.
In addition, Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone, the couple that all lovers of musical films fell in love with in ‘La la land. The City of Stars’ also get the aging treatment from artificial intelligence, with recognizable results. And not to leave politics aside, the Turkish photographer also recreates the world’s most famous activist the young Swedish environmentalist Greta Thunberg.
