The story of the game is as follows. Harry Mason searching for his missing daughter Cheryl in the town of Silent Hill, a place shrouded in perpetual fog, hiding a terrifying secret. Mason discovers that the city has been invaded by demonic entities, a cult, and that it appears to have different dimensions.

Sharon screams out the name of the town in her sleep, and Rose takes her there. Upon arrival, they are involved in a car accident and Sharon disappears.
The real story of Silent Hill
The story was inspired by a real town called Centralia, located in Pennsylvania.Where Destructive fire in a coal mine. In May 1962, city officials burned down the local landfill in an attempt to clean up the trash. The fire spread through unsealed tunnels leading to an abandoned coal mine. This caused a fire, which, according to some sources, is still burning to this day.
Firefighters were unable to stop the fire, and the government decided that Centralia was evacuated for its safety, as was the fictional town of Silent Hill, West Virginia. The air in Centralia is considered hazardous, so officials recommend that no one expose themselves to the environment for long periods of time.
Although most people left, some remained. One of the few surviving buildings is a church that is still used for religious services. In 2002, the U.S. Postal Service abolished the city’s zip code, and all roads leading into Centralia have been blocked since then.

Screen adaptation
First film silent Hill The premiere took place in 2006 under the direction of Christophe Hans, who was responsible for maintaining integrity of the original video game. Many shots were taken directly from it, and Silent Hill’s creatures were created to look and move exactly like their counterparts.
In the film, we follow Rose Da Silva, played by Radha Mitchell, as she consults a specialist to cure her daughter’s sleepwalking problem. Along the way, she gets into a car accident and discovers that her daughter (Jodelle Ferland) is missing, leading her to the mysterious town of Silent Hill.
