They offer free exercise classes in Phoenix


If your New Year’s goal is to start exercising, we have good news for you. The City of Phoenix begins a free fitness training series.
Sign up today! FitLot exercise classes return this month. Learn proper form, safe equipment use, and the format of the FitLot method circuit training class.
This training series is perfect for people starting a new exercise routine. The free classes provide a great opportunity for participants to develop a practice routine of physical activity under the guidance of a fitness professional and a committed group of community members who are also working toward a more active lifestyle.
FitLot Outdoor Gym is located at the Rose Mofford Sports Complex: 9833 N. 25th Ave.
These one-hour outdoor workout classes are held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-7 pm The full body workout series is designed for all ages and abilities to participate comfortably. Make sure your doctor clears you for physical activity before starting a new exercise routine.
How to prepare for class
- What to wear: comfortable clothes and shoes in which you can move and exercise; take the weather into account.
- What to bring: water, towel and hand sanitizer.

FitPHX is a community-wide health initiative created in 2013 with the goal of improving health and wellness in the region and making the Phoenix area one of the healthiest in the nation.
The initiative has created innovative collaborations between government agencies, private sector groups, non-profit organizations and universities to develop programs that provide residents with resources to be healthier.
