“Things Happen in the Past”

Out of seventeen

(Updated 06/17/20, 12:50): Charli D’Amelio just confirmed that all is well between her and Addison Rae following their alleged feud over the weekend.

The 16-year-old TikTok star was asked about the status of her relationship with Addison and she cleared the air. “Once you become friends, you just stay friends,” Charlie said. “Everything happens in the past. No hard feelings on my part.”

Dixie and Addison seem to be on good terms too. Yesterday they created TikTok together, showing off SeventeenA Snapchat story with the caption “What’s going on between Dixie and Addison?” Dixie asked Addison, who she was clearly communicating with at the time, “Hey, what’s going on?” Addison rolled her eyes in response and they both laughed.

Original message: Don’t mess with the D’Amelio sisters. Dixie D’Amelio proved that over the weekend when she stood up for her little sister Charli after some of Addison Rae’s old TikTok activities came to light, and Charli wasn’t too pleased about it.

On Friday, people started talking when Dixie tweeted, “Jealousy OH MY GOD,” seemingly out of the blue. She then followed up the tweet with, “Charlie deserves better” and “family first, that’s all.”

In fact, some of the photos surfaced from comments Addison liked back in November, before she even met Charlie or Dixie. The comments said that things like Charli shouldn’t be verified and that she’s not the prettiest girl on TikTok. However, Addison quickly intervened and explained what was happening. She seemed to know (or at least suspected) that Dixie’s tweets were about her, so she decided to shed light on the situation.

She explained that she liked some of the anti-Charlie comments back in November, before they even met. “THIS IS NOT AN APOLOGY,” she wrote in the comments of the Instagram post. However, she gave some context to where she was mentally at the time, explaining that she had just gotten out of a “mentally abusive” five-year relationship and was looking for “compliments and love from others.”

“This is SO disgusting and it makes me so sad to think about this day,” she continued. “But I know I love and support Charlie from the day I met her. I think Charlie deserves everything she’s done and I know she truly loves doing it and loves her supporters.”

Charlie apparently responded to the situation on TikTok. In the video, Charli lip-syncs to CeeFineAss’ song “Payback,” which includes the lyrics, “Keep my name in your mouth ’cause I don’t swear for free.”

Addison also tweeted about the situation, although she later deleted the statement. “If you hate someone because of something they did before they met you, you’re looking for a reason not to like them,” she said.

TikTok fans know that Dixie and Addison were very close while they were in the Hype House together. However, it’s unclear what their relationship is now that Dixie is no longer in the group and how the whole situation has affected things. In a follow-up tweet, Dixie seemed to say that everything was more or less fine between her and Addison.

“The last thing I want to say is: I love my friends, but my family comes first and I will not apologize for standing up for my sister,” she tweeted. “I love everyone, I’m just really upset.”

It looks like Dixie and Addison are on good terms again now. On Saturday, Dixie commented on a photo of Addison and fellow Hype House member Ryland Storms as “villains,” to which Addison responded, “You’re a villain.”
