Aritz Aren, the dancer who aspires to defend Spain with ‘Flamenco’ at Eurovision 2023

Aritz Aren launches into stardom as a singer as one of the 18 applicants for the second Benidorm Fest to represent Spain at Eurovision 2023 with “Flamenco”.
“It’s just my first step. I hope it ends in Eurovision, but be that as it may, my singing career begins here and it will never end”, the singer wishes to EFE.
Despite having considered making the leap into music, the artist assures that he is “quite insecure and a perfectionist”, although when he was asked to attend the contest he did not think about it, since the project was “amazing” for him.
Aritz spent 6 years living in China as dancer, where he reconsidered his start in music. “I kept thinking that I wanted to dedicate myself to singing, but I had not yet trained for it,” she explains in the interview with the medium.
It was on his return to Spain and the casting of “Fame”, in 2019, where “with all his face” he introduced himself saying that “I was coming back not only to be a dancer, but to dedicate myself to music and that the contest, even if it was dance, was a way of making contacts”, according to declared to EFE.
Subsequently, he trained in singing centers such as the academy of Carlos Mark in Madrid. The former Auryn member he was part of the creation of the song ‘Flamenco’ that would finally be performed by Aritz: “I received the song from another party and I didn’t know it was his. They told me that they were looking for someone who could defend him, not a dancer but someone with charisma who knew how to sell it on stage, ”he explains in the interview.

With a sound close to that of her favorite singer, Camila Cabello, Arén defends that “’Flamenco’ represents what outside of Spain they think we are”. For this, he has worked on his staging by the hand of the British creative director and choreographer Nathan J. Clarke.
