The INE ordered Jorge Álvarez Mánez, Vicente Fox and Claudio X. González to remove publication from X due to the electoral ban.

The Complaints and Grievances Commission of the National Electoral Institute (INE) has taken four precautionary measures to indicate Jorge Álvarez Mánez, Vicente Fox and Claudio X. González for publishing on the progress of the electoral ban. Two of the measures respond to complaints – against Fox Quezada and Claudio Social and against the federal government spokesman and candidate Álvarez Mánez.

In the case of former President Fox, the Commission approves precautionary measures for four publications

With respect to Claudio X. González Guajardo, the proselytizing publication in his favor and for his reflection, and the adoption of the precautionary measure with respect to four publications made in the past, are inadmissible because “they do not contain material that could violate the prohibition period.”

The Institute also determined that the precautionary measure was appropriate for the publication of a video in support of his presidential candidacy, as well as for the word ‘vote’ and the phrase ‘old politics’ (which he used throughout his electoral campaign),” they say in a statement.

In relation to the investigation the institute had launched against the federal government spokesperson, Jesús Ramírez Cuevas, it was concluded that taking precautionary measures was unacceptable “because the reported material is no longer available” – the publication was removed within a few hours after being broadcast.
