01/23/2023, Xalapa, Ver.- Mónica Sandoval García received the appointment that accredits her as director of the Faculty of Medicine of the Universidad Veracruzana (UV), Xalapa region, for the period from January 4, 2023 to January 3, 2027, in a ceremony that took place carried out in the main hall of the Health Sciences Unit.

Arturo Aguilar Ye, general director of the Health Sciences Area, protested to the academic, whom he asked to act ethically, always in favor of the students.

She pointed out that she was appointed to her position by the rector Martín Aguilar Sánchez, through an election that at all times was attached to the legislation.

Mónica Sandoval thanked the Rector for the honor he confers on her by naming her director of the Faculty of Medicine, a fact that, she affirmed, fills her with pride and satisfaction, but at the same time gives her a commitment to the community.

He declared that the educational programs attached to the academic entity in his charge are very significant for society, so the quality of their teaching requires a high standard that is tested by accrediting organizations.

“Competent professionals must graduate from the Faculty, resolute in relevant problems that afflict society,” he mentioned.

The Director thanked the trust conferred and stated that she assumes her position with dedication, but above all with a commitment to the country, population and health institutions.

At the ceremony were: Claudia Magdalena López Hernández, secretary of the Faculty of Medicine, and Javier Rodríguez Bello, student councilor of the entity.
