Slovenian cyclist Tadej Pogacar (UAE Team Emirates) won the seventh stage Italy spinThe individual time trial, over 40.6 kilometers between Foligno and Perugia, secured the lead in the general classification.
The two-time Tour de France winner showed absolute talent in the final six kilometres.winning back a minute from the Italian Filippo Ganna (Ineos Grenadiers), 47 seconds ahead of Pogačar at the second intermediate point and finished 17 seconds behind the Slovenian. The stage’s podium was completed by American Magnus Sheffield, 49 seconds behind the winner.
Pogacarahead of the Colombian by 2.36 Daniel Felipe Martinez and at 2.46 to the British Geraint Thomas, the great loser at the finish in Perugia. Spanish Juanpe Lopez (Lidl Trek), lost the time trial by more than 4 minutes and left the top 10, dropping to 15th place with a time of 5.28 minutes.
